ASOS app users receive notifications alleging a Snowflake compromise

The BBC reports dozens of ASOS users received app notifications claiming the retailer’s Snowflake instance was compromised and threatening a leak unless ASOS engaged. The BBC says it was unknown whether ASOS uses Snowflake or what data, if any, it stores there. Reuters, via Channel NewsAsia, reports ASOS was aware of the reports but did not confirm a breach. Its shares fell more than 11% on October 6.
