i have a talk on "how to build a dyson sphere across 50 orders of magnitude" at manifest tomorrow, and i am pretty close to giving up on fable and just reverting to opus 4.8 (fast) now.

with fable being slow, dumping to opus randomly, dropping KV cache, and slowing down as i approach getting to a mutual understanding, there is clearly a time and place for a handover; when you're running out of time.

jury still out on whether or not it's usable, but at least i'm not in the permanent underclass. on the other hand, my work be sabotaged
