Now we're talking. $10B should be enough to keep up. I think they kind of keep hoping he'll defect and say "okay, THIS is my price, now we'll focus on products and revenue." But the reason DeepSeek is worth that much is that he won't.

Last Fall, Huawei announced the 500k card SuperCluster would be available this Q4. So, that timing syncs up exactly with Deepseek's announced timeline and this raise.

I would guess last fall Deepseek got the clear message - don't worry about the availability of compute, if you focus inference on the Huawei stack, we will make sure you have the capital / compute you need to deploy at scale.

And the same message to Huawei - keep going, support Deepseek, there's a $10bb purchase order at the end of this collab.
