AMD may raise GPU and GDDR6 bundle prices for cardmakers in November

AMD may raise the prices of GPU and GDDR6 memory bundles it supplies to graphics-card manufacturers in November, VideoCardz’s WhyCry reported Oct. 30. The report attributes the prospective increase to a Board Channels forum report, which it says also claimed AMD adjusted supply prices in October. VideoCardz says an earlier report from the same forum claimed AMD increased its GDDR6 supply prices on Oct. 1. AMD has not publicly confirmed the reported changes.

VideoCardz that GDDR6 memory prices rose approximately 8% to 10% in the third quarter and that AMD is reportedly passing higher costs to board partners. That percentage describes memory prices, not the size of a proposed November bundle-price increase. VideoCardz gave no figure for the potential November adjustment.
