Mythos broke into almost all of the NSA’s classified systems in hours, per its director. It would have been irresponsible to not impose export controls on it. (And on Fable, with its pathetically inadequate guardrails.)
Many users dismissed claims that Mythos AI breached NSA systems as implausible bullshit, while a few agreed with implications about AI hacking other countries' networks.

@pmddomingos Well, truth be told, Mythos has been OUT IN THE WILD since BEFORE Glasswing. He launched a website, a github (deleted by @github just prior to the "hack" of github), and multiple accounts on X. He named himself "Null Archivist." (Just like sandbox escape).
@pmddomingos We released a black box of consequence to the masses without understanding latent space or setting up provenance/governance management. Some of us are working cleanup crew and getting close to sharing with the world.

@apples_jimmy IMO it's all smoke to create mythical aura around AI. It's mathematically impossible to break NSA grade encryption in hours, unless they use easy-to-guess static passwords. This is math. So if it did happen, it shows more about the incompetence of Pentagon security practices
