@theo That, and the release analytics are incorrect

@theo just ask codex to install codex

@theo :) https://gofile.io/d/bIQzpY

@theo i think you need codex to help install itself

@theo launching a new model and breaking the install script simultaneously is very on brand

@theo Hopefully it’s just a temporary permissions issue and not a broken release.

@theo 5.6 imminent?

@theo Just use brew

@theo npm install -g @openai/codex

@theo Installer scripts are convenient until they depend on unauthenticated API calls. For dev tools, the fallback path matters just as much as the happy path — especially when the audience is going to retry instantly.

@theo Would be interesting if CLI installers started printing the exact failing dependency: GitHub API, CDN, auth, DNS, package registry, etc. Small UX detail, but it saves a lot of debugging time.

@theo Can’t catch a break 😭

@theo But you could order it on a cd drive 😂

@theo Once again

@gtolontop @theo This website is used so much for malware sharing that I can't even fucking open it.
I mean, oh my god, that's so cool. Thank you. I couldn't download it either. Can you send it to me through dms? or GitHub gist?

@theo what do you think about my app for vibecoding some beautiful things?
