    Zero-click spyware reportedly targeted 45 Al Jazeera devices through ads

    WIRED reports Citizen Lab linked the 2024–25 attacks to ads issued by Discover-Tech and spyware attributed to Candiru.

The researchers said Discover-Tech issued the ads and attributed the spyware to Candiru. Google says it blocked Discover-Tech from its ad platforms after an investigation confirmed a spyware link. IAB Europe told WIRED it suspended the firm from its global vendor list following a policy audit.
