JD Vance: "AI CEOs have an incentive to be DYSTOPIAN, it's a form of viral marketing, that if people are really scared of your product, that must mean it really works."
Many users attacked JD Vance personally over his claims that AI CEOs push dystopian fears for viral marketing, accusing him of ignorance about the technology while mocking his appearance.

US VP JD Vance on AI Company's marketing strategy, some AI CEOs sell fear because fear makes their product look powerful.
And his view on AI driven job loss.
"I think the AI companies themselves, the CEOs, have a certain incentive to be super dystopian because it is like a form of viral marketing. If people are really scared of your product, that must mean that it really works. And if they are not scared of your product, maybe it actually does not work that well.
So, I think there is something weird and synergistic about the most pessimistic predictions about AI and some of the people who are making it.
With AI, I do not see mass unemployment as the most likely consequence. Again, some jobs will be different, and there will be some job disruption. When I look at AI, I think people will become more productive. Some people’s jobs will change, and some people will lose their jobs, but I just do not buy this idea. I have not seen any evidence in the data that AI is going to lead to mass unemployment."

@DanielleFong Often times how folks assume other people think says more about themselves than anyone else.

@DanielleFong More so

@d33v33d0 @DanielleFong 😹 🎯

@DanielleFong it’s dystopic to see dystopias

@DanielleFong It's actually crazy to hear someone talk about ai who doesn't know anything about it, doesn't care, and plans to regulate it based on other private interests and optics.
