BGR's four portable tablet peripherals split into two mice and two keyboards. All four support iPads and Android tablets, but their useful differences are size, battery setup and whether the device favors one ecosystem.
Two compact mice, with different strengths
The Logitech Pebble Mouse 2 M350s is the smallest and lightest option in the group. BGR lists it at 4.3 by 3 inches and 0.17 pounds. It connects over Bluetooth, can pair with as many as three devices and works with Android and iPadOS. Logitech says a single AA battery can power it for two years.
Its middle button can be reassigned through the Logi Options+ app, giving tablet users a way to launch apps or trigger other shortcuts. BGR also says the mouse supports a wired USB connection, although a tablet may need a USB-C-to-USB-A adapter.
Apple's Magic Mouse 2 is slightly heavier at 0.22 pounds and is the more ecosystem-specific pick. BGR says the USB-C version works with iPads running iPadOS 18.1 or later and can connect to Android tablets over Bluetooth. Its touch surface supports gestures on iPad, including horizontal swipes and a secondary click, though the gesture set is smaller than on a Mac.
Apple estimates up to a month of use on one charge. The familiar drawback remains: its charging port sits on the underside, so the mouse cannot be used while charging. A brief charge can still provide enough power for a work session.
