MIT Paper Links Automation to Risk of Political Repression

This is pretty righteously stupid… on par with belief in an imminent second coming I suppose, but still, a strong entry. Solid.

Narrator: They proved no such thing. Look I’m as skeptical of AI as anyone (see my class action lawsuits) but you’re just as likely (if not more likely) to end up in a repressive state with an AI empowered socialist elite as you are with a AI empowered capitalist elite.

Bullshit They said the same thing about the production line of Henry Ford. Luddites said the same thing 250 years ago. AI will lead to an enormous leap in human creativity and productivity.
