Apple Invites for iPhone update brings full-resolution Shared Albums, photorealistic invite backgrounds

Apple has updated its Apple Invites app for iPhone with three reported changes. MacRumors said version 1.12.0 adds full-resolution sharing in Shared Albums, new high-quality Image Playground backgrounds including photorealistic styles, and a simpler email verification flow that lets guests tap a link in their inbox instead of entering a code. MacRumors also said the update is available now in the App Store. Separately, 9to5Mac reported the rollout is happening Sept. 30 and said the update uses new iOS 27 features, including improved photo sharing and Image Playground capabilities. As reported background, Apple Invites launched in February 2025; creating an event requires an iCloud+ subscription, while recipients can RSVP for free on any device.
