iPhone Duo reportedly jailbroken on launch day

On Oct. 23, MacRumors reported that Calif had jailbroken an iPhone Duo running iOS 27.1 hours after release. Its account described bouncing icons and widgets and an anime character, but did not describe root access on the Duo. MacRumors said the jailbreak wasn't publicly released at the time. Citing Calif researcher Stefan Esser's comments to Heise, it reported that there would be no end-user tool, though a proof of concept might follow.
