that actually makes a lot of sense
in the age of building AI native versions of any products they are the best suitable players to build AI native chat workspaces
Claude and OpenAI are going to build Slack competitors natively into their products

@Jason Plz. Slack is the most distracting and productivity reducing software in existence.

@Jason oh that's a great call. I feel the new tag "coworker" is heavily nerfed by the slack third party requirement

@Jason Remember when companies got «Sherlocked» by Apple? Feels like we are in the 10x Sherlock era.

@Jason Yes they will, i give it ~6 months

@Jason The Privacy Policy department for every company needs to ban it immediately to avoid giving away trade secrets.

@Jason Everyone is going to copy everything into their products, bc you just have to say computer copy that thing but make it better.

@Jason the first workplace chat where the smartest guy in the channel works for free

@Jason and they are coming for Atlassian next

@Jason I've worked for midsized and multi-billion dollar companies, remote and on site, white collar type work, and not once have I used slack in 25 years in the workforce.

@Jason You could easily vibe code a custom slack-like app for your company already.

@Jason You know multiple PMs at both companies sent this to their teams in slack

@Jason Of course. Any white-collar work app is in danger of being replaced by frontier lab products.

@Jason Has the tech space ever been this cruel and selfish?

@Jason As they should! Since collaboration happens natively in there

@Jason Copy paste just get more popular

@Jason It’s literally called chat

@Jason Salesforce could do the funniest shit by copying over what Anthropic/OpenAI are trying to do with slack. Slack has tons of institutional knowledge and how people work together but I don't understand why they have no capitalized on this yet. Why arent they shipping it.

@Jason they better clone Slack Connect first, people won't leave otherwise
