i was more speaking to george‘s philosophy than the impossibility of other attractors, and those attractors are really really implausible.

like most frontier research is unbelievably expensive compute-wise. i dont see how you’d fund that without some private models/IP, you need good margins for that. maybe in fantasy land we get there in 8x the time but really? thats not how the world works

and like the compute buildout would be more than 10x slower, i mean tons of objections here i don’t see it
