too many SF AI discussions reduce to whether you
a) believe we are in the singularity b) what part of the takeoff curve do you think we are on.

@natolambert Admittedly I'm not knowledgable at all about SF, but I'm 90% sure you're right about needing more zagging. What belief has shifted the most since you left?
@natolambert Yeah, distance probably helps more thhan people admit. Less ambient consensus, clearer product judgment. I keep going back to that.
@natolambert not all of us can afford to live outside of SF though
