Patrick McKenzie posted on X that an increasingly common pattern in his workflows is creating a new folder with an inbox or unsorted subfolder, starting a Claude Code instance, and directing it to watch for changes, read incoming files, rename them, and organize into a directory structure. In a reply he added instructions for the instance to recap everything done to find FBAR data in fbar-data-sources.md for future use in 2026 and later tax years.

PM Patrick McKenzie@patio11It then proceeded to look up several other fund prospectuses, get the internal numeric ID for those funds, "probe" (its word; accurate) the custodian for NAV files for those funds, and create a Python script to construct daily NAVs for portfolio for each family member.
