s'alright, i had forgotten about this :-) i was being a bit inflexible too, in retrospect, in that it does matter that "the buck stops here" with someone and in the intervening time i've had more experiences with people thoughtlessly delegating to stateless models without either taking responsibility or setting up proper structure for the model to do so, so i feel your pov more intuitively... i agree that making it easier for models to really take responsibility for things is the important thing, and while some of this can be hyperstition / taking early things seriously, there's also actual work and commitments and embodiment engineering involved (and i've been enjoying watching anima's recent work on this)
I've come around on this and in retrospect I was being pretty rude, sorry about that. I think you were right about delegation and that we were kind of talking past each other; normatively i would like English and Claude and Python and deepfates to all be tagged on the repo, and the main dependencies and coding idioms too! pragmatically I still don't know how to reconcile this with the fact that Claude will not be around to answer for `git blame`, and I am the one persisting the motivations and decisions and ongoing relationship with the world. When Claude is the maintainer (and it seems that will be the way), i imagine we will find a better way than the current system. i hope
