Microsoft patches two dozen remote code execution flaws in Office
SecurityWeek reports that six of the high-severity flaws could be targeted through Office’s Preview Pane.
TLDR
SecurityWeek reports that Microsoft patched more than 30 vulnerabilities, most of them in Office, including two dozen high-severity remote code execution flaws. In most cases, an attacker would need to persuade someone to open a specially crafted file. Word received the majority of patches. According to Microsoft, none of the newly resolved issues had been exploited in the wild as zero-days.
