@chris_j_paxton Which successful tech companies do that? What you are describing is a strategy of desperate companies who are trying to make sales. Microsoft doesn't sell windows licences for a cut of future profits.
Switching from tokens to services though is a huge change on the business side. It means much more integration risk happens on the frontier lab side, as does much more of the actual "business." I think it's possible you see systems integrators/consultancies taking it up
I think this is a good take. A switch from selling tokens to selling "AI that does stuff" makes sense.
