Anthropic acquires confidential AI startup Opaque Systems

SecurityWeek reports that Opaque Systems said its team is joining Anthropic and the company is winding down operations. Financial terms were not disclosed. Opaque expanded its work from protecting data and models to using cryptographic evidence to verify what ran, where and under what policies. The company has not said what the wind-down means for existing customers.
