Amazon launches $200 Echo Time smart alarm clock with optional sleep sensing

Engadget reports that Amazon’s $200 Echo Time has a 3.2-inch touchscreen and no camera. Its optional smart alarm uses sensors to estimate sleep stages without a wearable and may sound 10 to 60 minutes before the set time. The Verge says sleep sensing is opt-in and can be disabled with the mute button. A $210 kids’ version is also available, Engadget reports.
