4 postsA very overdue announcement - we raised $830M in December at a $7.5bn valuation from Situational Awareness. The US must add hundreds of gigawatts of compute in the coming years in order to ensure that domestic AI labs continue to win. This is a buildout of unprecedented scale - larger than the Arsenal of Democracy, the Marshall Plan, and the Apollo Program combined. Fluidstack will build this infrastructure faster and at a larger scale than anyone else on the planet. This will be required to ensure that democracy wins and that every human on Earth benefits from transformatively powerful AI. We are looking for exceptional people to come join us - my DMs are open - please reach out.
In January, Fluidstack raised an $830M Series A at a $7.5B valuation, led by Situational Awareness, with participation from world-leading investors. Fluidstack builds infrastructure for the leading AI labs - our goal is to be the fastest on the planet at deploying hundreds of gigawatts of compute. As we stand at the event horizon of the singularity, humanity’s best chance is if democracies, with error correcting institutions, free speech, and checks on power, imbue those same principles into superintelligence. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether Al expands human freedom or shrinks it. We are hiring - come join us.
Leopold Aschenbrenner wrote the essay about the next decade. Now his fund is backing the company that is building it. Fluidstack: $830M, $7.5B valuation, : Anthropic selected Fluidstack to lead a $50B compute buildout. The most valuable thing this decade has been compute. To get compute you need to accelerate construction. The US added a record 18GW last year, but 2028 alone needs ~100GW. Fluidstack wants to build those gigawatt sites in months, not years.

the part everyone skipped in the fluidstack raise: they closed in december. then said nothing for months. → the numbers $830m series a at a $7.5b valuation backed by situational awareness, blackrock, google, and jane street → what it's actually for anthropic picked them to lead a $50b compute buildout one of the largest infrastructure projects in us history → why it matters the us added 18gw of datacenter capacity last year the industry needs ~100gw in 2028 alone that's roughly 6x across power, equipment, and labor compute isn't gated on chips or capital anymore it's gated on how fast you can physically build whoever builds fastest sets the pace
