TLDR
Gizmodo reports Microsoft is redesigning parts of Windows 11 to reduce resource demands on PCs with 8GB of RAM. Search and Photos are being built directly into Windows rather than using WebView2, and widgets won’t load automatically on lower-end PCs. The changes are available in the Insider beta, with a full release planned for later in 2026.
