SpaceX IPO basically boils down to people with spreadsheets debating with people who believe in Elon.
History suggests the spreadsheets have been wrong when it comes to Elon companies.
Supporters argue the offering represents a commitment to Mars exploration

Positive users backed Pompliano's view that Musk's SpaceX vision and Mars mission beat spreadsheet or EBITDA concerns, while negative users called the bets fraudulent or pointless compared to Earth priorities.

@APompliano Well said

@eventidia @Frantastic_7 😆

@APompliano 100%. We've seen the happen before.
Do you want to quibble about P/E ratios? Or do you want to fucking go to Mars?

The spreadsheets don't need Elon to fail, they only need the market's expectations to be too high. Investing isn't about predicting who builds the best company, it's about determining whether the current price already reflects that success. Even the world's greatest business can be a mediocre investment when purchased at an excessive valuation.

@APompliano Wrong. This boils down to ignorant retail investors and those that know, like most tech stocks, this will tank shortly after the IPO even though it may grow massively in 10 years.
Whatever you guys do, don't listen to Pomp. His own company's stock is down 90%.

@APompliano It's worse. It's spreadsheet sallies *with only historical data*.
The problem with spreadsheet sallies is they lack vision and don't know what is actually in the pipeline. If you're limiting future projection to only historical, you miss the big moves. Faith bets can win big.

@APompliano To me, Im buying the mission. I bought what I can afford to lose. If Elon succeeds, I succeed. If he fails, I fail. I believe Elon and Space X will do everything they say they want to do.

@APompliano Yea that’s why I’m participating

@APompliano No, Elon is where he is due to massive fraud.
Elon has consistently failed to meet all of his growth projections / targets, etc.

@APompliano Watching people prop up a trillionaire who would use their faces to wipe his ass without hesitation is very weird to me. It’s like religious psychosis but with wealthy people. It’s gross.

@APompliano He will succeed but there is a difference between owning a good asset and a good investment. Current valuations lead little room for massive growth. If it dips hard and there are DCA opportunities I will be buying.

@APompliano The people pricing this have no idea he’s building the Halliburton for aerospace and future industrial technology

@APompliano Warren buffet is just a guy with spreadsheets. So are professional traders, quants and trading algorithms. All have destroyed human vibe traders.

@funwithnumberz @APompliano Goals not being met is not fraud. lying about current capabilities is.
Theranos and nikola lied about their current equipments capabilities not their future goals.
Vastly different.

@APompliano IPO gonna show who actually gets it

@APompliano I like @elonmusk , but $tsla was down over 25% two years after its IPO. History is not kind for tech and hype stock IPOs for the first 24 months.

@APompliano SpaceX is the only viable entity to drive humanity to Yottascale AI Compute. Fundamentally impossible on earth. Not to mention a global earth encompassing edge network and interplanetary exploration.

@soldatthetop @APompliano Delusional.
