Anthropic merges Claude chat and Cowork, adds Docs and Slides

Anthropic has combined Claude’s chat and Cowork work environment, ITmedia reports. The publisher says the integration lets users handle simple conversations and complex, multistep tasks within a single conversation. The update also adds Claude Docs and slide creation tools, with rollout proceeding in stages from Pro and Max users.
