Cluster sourcesThese three essays are one build. The first said what: an answer to the question AI now forces on us, what a human being is for. The second said when and who: before the crash, in many hands, not one. This one says why it can’t wait: the tide is high, and a question left blank gets answered by default, by whatever’s cheapest on the shelf. So, plainly: decide, on purpose, what a human life is for, and build it into real places — a school, a workshop, a household — owned by the people in them, not a platform, not the state. That’s the ark.
1/ Everyone's bracing for the AI bubble to pop. That's the smaller danger. A crash is survivable on its own. What makes it a catastrophe is the culture it lands on, and ours is more fragile than almost anyone is expecting. New essay, "Build the Ark": https://twitter.com/vijaypande/status/2074553503998238806
1/ Everyone's braced for the AI bubble to pop. Wrong water. A financial storm drains off on its own. What turns it into a flood is a slower tide, cultural not financial, that almost no one is watching. My new essay, "Build the Ark": https://twitter.com/vijaypande/status/2074553503998238806
7/ Noah built while the sky was clear and the neighbors laughed. That's the only time an ark gets built. The storm is coming. For the one who built, the flood was never an ending. It's the way across. https://x.com/vijaypande/status/2074553503998238806
