DHH Frames AI Agent Use as Meta-Programming Virtual Programmers
Reply to observation that Django, Flask, and Rails creators embraced AI early.
Thariq, an engineer on the Claude Code team at Anthropic, posted that the creators of Django, Flask, and Ruby on Rails showed strong interest in AI early on. David Heinemeier Hansson replied directly to the post and to the other two creators. He stated that good agent use amounts to framework building. Hansson described the work as building the machine that builds the machines and as meta-programming the virtual programmers.
