VC Partners Call Anthropic Seed Wins Luck, Not Skill
Replies to Anjney Midha question luck and praise conviction in early AI bets.
Anjney Midha expressed disappointment after older partners at a VC firm attributed his early investments in Anthropic, OpenRouter, and ElevenLabs to luck rather than foresight. Danielle Fong replied that being at the right time is the job and called it a skill issue instead. lol apparently a VC firm had a mtg yesterday where a few 50+ yr old partners said i got lucky with the seed rounds of Anthropic and OpenRouter and ElevenLabs this made me sad it was a firm i once thought was cool they used to be winners now they are copium houses

@AnjneyMidha Anjney, I know you were first check into a dozen unicorns and decacorns, but obviously that was luck. I had one unicorn about 50 investments ago, and obviously that was skill.
