As you continue to allow the Chinese to distill US models, you continue to deny your customers access to good models, you overcharge and outright price gouge with your models. Grok 4.5 = Opus 4.8 for 6 dollars, Kimi K3 = Fable 5 for 15 dollars. It's frustrating to see Anthropic fall.
@trq212 Same reason I do the boring spec pass first - a rough schema or a fake data model tells the agent what "done" looks like before it burns tokens guessing. Cheapest tokens are the ones you never spend because you caught the wrong direction on paper.
@trq212 Love this approach prototypes save time and tokens. Validating early beats costly detours.
@evantana @trq212 @southpkcommons Great take. Opposite of turn your brain off.
@trq212 How are you guys so smart as a company but also so dumb and clueless
@trq212 So where is fable 5? What the hell are you actually doing?
building prototypes of mockups, schemas, data models, proof of concepts, etc. is the best way to avoid spending tons of tokens before realizing you don't want the output
