Chroma CEO Announces Foundation for AI Agent Memory
Announces Foundation research preview for self-improving agent memory.
Jeff Huber, founder and CEO of Chroma, stated in a post that memory is the largest unsolved problem in AI and that no one has found the recipe yet. He previewed Foundation as a system to make memory work for AI agents by creating self-improving capabilities from session data. Replies note that the system produces human-readable wikis, with early users feeding personal chats into it and feeling seen. Harrison Chase mentioned a webinar discussing wiki-style memory approaches. The project name references Isaac Asimov's Foundation series.
