Stumbled upon the strangest online scam. I've been seeing tons of AI videos for a fake product called the "float bro" - these videos go viral on IG and get millions of views. Some of these accounts now link to REAL Shopify stores where you can buy them. And it gets weirder 馃憞
The websites all feature AI-generated images - and some creative product variations. There's very little info about the product, but they also offer "accident coverage" for an additional $4.99. And it appears to let you go through the full checkout + use Shop Pay 馃く

At this point, I had to search for online reviews. I was shocked to find several YouTube videos - so I clicked through to watch. All of the videos are just someone scrolling through the website with an AI-generated voice on the top 馃珷
