Anthropic Targets September or Early October IPO
WSJ reports cite investor meetings and plans for a large debut ahead of OpenAI.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Anthropic is meeting potential investors and targeting a public debut in September or early October. Sources familiar with the plans told the paper the company aims to go before OpenAI, whose IPO could slip into next year. In the meetings Anthropic highlighted rapid growth, expansion into healthcare and biology uses, and steps to address public backlash against AI. Posts also noted investor questions on cheaper Chinese models, tensions with the Trump administration, and local opposition to data centers.
Anthropic is targeting a public debut in September or early October. OpenAI expected to follow in an IPO that could be as late as next year. Therefore I expect a new and big Fable release before IPO to push their valuation further. Source: WSJ
