Our key idea is to represent mesh topology as a nearest-vertex vector field (NVF) - a piecewise continuous vector field over the surface. Because topology becomes a vector field rather than a sequence, we can generate it with fast, learnable methods like flow matching, instead of the slow token-by-token autoregressive generation used by existing mesh generators. We design a watershed-guided constrained QEM simplification to effectively extract mesh topology out of the NVF. TriFlow generates regular artist-like topology with low latency compared to prior work.
