@markpinc You and me both believing this and saying it in the same week. Consumer coming back!!
The biggest consumer apps we will rely on in 5 years havent been invented yet!

@markpinc Whats your response to the claim that we wont need apps in the future?

@markpinc It's also likely the platform these apps will run on doesn't exist yet

@markpinc The biggest consumer apps will be the ones you develop yourself on device that never see a public market to download

@markpinc I’m building the home screen of your pet’s life

@markpinc We’re cooking them now. It’s gonna be lit
(We as in this generation of founders)

@markpinc And they will be created by someone with 4 or more kids 😂😂

@markpinc We haven’t even scratched the surface of consumer AI yet. Looking forward to seeing the wild ambition to come!

@markpinc With current cost / intelligence progress, OSS ai models should have at least 2-3 more years till local small ai multi agentic swarm setup will be able to handle current $1k/mo subscription mix (everyone have 4-5 subscription to big ai labs, they wanna cut)… Mr. @markpinc 💯💯💯

@markpinc are you saying unlimited ai as in its free? technically its unlimited now but way to expensive for the really fun consumer usecases

I completely agree with you. My work has been trying to reduce the electrical consumption of these tools for the sole purpose of expanding their use. Most of us that code for a living, individually, are extremely sensitive to token costs, so it's something we've learned to manage pretty early. If tokens weren't a problem, this creativity will be unlocked, and you are correct. It has not been invented yet. Another reason it hasn't been invented yet is that the people with the largest token budgets are working on the wrong problems. They blow their token budgets on selling products. They blow their token budgets on funneling views to them or their products. True compute doesn't have a commercial goal, and once tokens are unlocked for these purposes, we will see an absolute overwhelming mountain of improvement. If you're reading this: Work on efficiency Work on different methods of compute Work on cheaper transformers Work on everything except a dancing cat video - we can all succeed if we focus.

@markpinc agreed, I almost feel like there hasn't been a revolutionary consumer product since gpt.

@markpinc AI maximalist 🔥
