Every time we lose someone it is a reminder that our last act is a bunch of us gushing about the loss and impact the person had on our lives. It's our final curtain call. I know we all suffer from the same terminal illness for now, but it really does bum me out that the entirety of our existence, our final bow is a bunch of accolades on a social media stage. I guess it used to happen in silence, and I'm not sure how it can be better but I feel like people such as Tony Hsieh, Josh Baer and Ted Rheingold deserved more. Perhaps if we still had award ceremonies we could properly address this, but other than that, I'm not sure how to fix this.
A proper memorial for those who impacted our industry the most?
Any ideas? Maybe this is the best it gets.
