Is Europe quietly legislating itself out of relevance?
XPRIZE founder Peter Diamandis and executive Linda Yaccarino argue that European legislative activity is reducing the region's global relevance
Neither participant cited specific directives or technology sectors
Many users asserted that Europe has already legislated itself into irrelevance, blaming internal policies and leadership for self-inflicted decline.

Is Europe quietly legislating itself out of relevance?

@PeterDiamandis As Peter Hitchens explained: The EU is a continuation of imperial Germany by other means.

@PeterDiamandis Claiming that banning children from accessing the internet makes Europe irrelevant is not the statement that you think it is. 👾

@PeterDiamandis Not quietly
It’s in plain sight with thundering drums
Insanity what’s happening here.

@PeterDiamandis It's not quietly, it's pretty much in the open. Europe is doing this for decades and with the EU it's just centralized so all member states are becoming as unattractive as Germany is.

@PeterDiamandis Suicidal empathy on full display over there.

@PeterDiamandis Not to worry, Canada is following Europe's policies.

@PeterDiamandis I'm pretty sure it already has. They're nowhere in the AI race.

@PeterDiamandis Is grass green? Is the sky blue? Do socialists regulate everything into oblivion?

@PeterDiamandis No, it's doing so quite loudly and self-righteously.

@PeterDiamandis Stagnated development. It's time for them to return to the arts, science, and religion that made them great centuries ago

@PeterDiamandis Not just the EU. Australia is doing the same too. It looks like the death of Western civilisation is by a million paper cuts.

@PeterDiamandis @grok ?

@PeterDiamandis Haven't they already? What are they relevant in at the moment other than regulating?

@PeterDiamandis Ya and it’s not a wild phenomenon..it’s a planned invasion. I repeat I said an invasion that means this is not a sports game watching countries just race to ai with “breakthroughs” every week and Europe just so happens to just bad at the race. No it’s on purpose!

I have deep appreciation for my European brothers and sisters. However at the top, when it comes to policy directions and regulatory approaches, it feels as though progress is stalling or even moving in reverse rather than advancing the trajectory of a modern civilization. Complete joke.

@fulg0re @PeterDiamandis Except No one is empathizing & Everything is a propaganda.

@PeterDiamandis Short answer: YES! As it looks, we won't have much but bureaucracy in abundance. 😔 There is still some time left, I just fear the window won't stay open for long.

@PeterDiamandis Please that’s been going on for 30 years! Appreciate your insights, but talk to Europeans about it. Look at the ‘cookie-policy’ or the plastic bottles with fixed caps…

@PeterDiamandis Is America quietly retarding itself out of relevance?
