What happens now makes me cringe because it follows step by step what I was thinking a few months ago: AI access as discriminatory factor, aside from other factors that already plague our society. A future where a nationality, a budget, a position or another allows access to computation and learning acceleration. That is a future I am afraid of... and it is showing at the horizon.

Unfortunately many countries will use AI to exploit to their advantage, including the U.S. and China due to bad actors in governments and also private bad actors. This is one reason Elon sees the need for restricted access, especially when our military uses AI for strategic purposes

@PeterDiamandis If the US models are export controlled. US companies will be better and more effective than non US companies, which will lead to most countries completely block them from accessing their markets which will turn the world into USA and everyone else, detached from each other
