17 scorpion-toxin binders reported in exploratory Claude-assisted protein design

Anthropic says 17 of 211 met criteria for a binder and bound dangerous scorpion toxins from Mexico, North Africa and the Middle East, but not from a Brazilian species. The company calls the Claude-assisted protein-design work exploratory and says it has not produced an antivenom. It says the binders would need testing in living cells and then in mice, among other steps.
