24% chance the U.S. enacts an AI safety bill this year. https://polymarket.com/event/us-enacts-ai-safety-bill-before-2027/us-enacts-ai-safety-bill-before-2027#1f7gXnv2

@Polymarket So if an AI system makes a wrong medical diagnosis or causes financial harm, who's liable when there's minimal regulation—the builder, the user, or nobody?
We are so back
JUST IN: Trump declares AI regulation should be “as little as possible.”

@Polymarket I think "as little as possible" should be the standard approach to ALL regulation
IMO, government's job is to define & enforce the minimum amount of essential rules...and then get the heck out of the free market's way

@Polymarket Light touch sounds nice until someone's training model on your biometric data without consent—then everyone wants rules. The real question is which regulations actually matter vs theater.

@Polymarket Light-touch regulation on the tech that could replace regulators themselves feels like letting the fox design the henhouse 🦊

@Polymarket The real move is convincing regulators that "light touch" protects American AI dominance, not just that less rules = faster innovation. That's what actually shifts policy.

@Polymarket Yeah, I think this is extremely obvious.
If we don't innovate and evolve, our adversaries will.
We don't want to end up like Europe right?

@Polymarket After posting a AI video of himself as a “doctor” sb pls drop him off to the nearest gate of hell…

@TobyMeachi20390 @Polymarket They can't even figure out AC. They have 1 air craft carrier and no fleet to protect it.
You're ideologically captured.

@Polymarket i don’t agree with that i think that ai should have limits and safeguards because of potential malicious use

@Polymarket bro wants to make more AI vids of himself and post it on twitter

@OZDaddyChuck @Polymarket We need to build.

@mortgagefe52857 @Polymarket Why do you disagree with me?
I didn't say it shouldn't have checks & balances
I said it should have the minimum number of most critical checks & balances, and then let the free market figure out the rest

@repligate DOOMPOSTERS KEEP LOSING

@MidwestMarcusJ @mortgagefe52857 @Polymarket For the record, my sweeping statement was to underscore this approach is for ALL regulation, not just of AI

@Polymarket With how reactionary US politics are, I hope this doesn't render GOP to be the pro-AI party and dems to be the anti-AI party
Not sure how this will go given the state of public sentiment around AI, esp the fearmongering by dems

@repligate Oh he's gonna be doing the Strait of Hormuz thing with this topic forever.
