Axios says Treasury Secretary Bessent told Mike Allen on The Axios Show that China’s AI models engage in “industrial distillation,” which he called “a nice word for stealing from the U.S. models.” He singled out Kimi, claiming the model thinks it is Claude and will tell people it is Claude.
