LLM Tutors Require Social Engineering To Motivate Learners

@dioscuri Also formal education sucks because of course it has to be "useful" economically but that's why people leave education uncultured. I wish we left school aware of stream of human thought and our place and time in history with context for everything in the present
I’m more optimistic about dedicated LLM tutors and teaching aides. But getting these right will require some clever anthropomimesis and social engineering. The hard part isn’t simulating instruction; it’s simulating social cues that make you feel bad for not turning up.

@dioscuri From experience this is very possible with an exceptional voice model. It’s not in the word choice but in how the words are delivered tonally. Most frontier companies don’t put enough effort in this. But that’s how it can be done.

@dioscuri Can we change that last line to making people feel good about showing up? IMO, more motivating and fulfilling.
