@DKThomp I dunno, I don't think it's unreasonable to think the future profits will be pretty high from the company that's closest to commercializing space.

@DKThomp Intuitively, a reusable rocket company feels more valuable than a ad selling company.

@mantwig93 tesla's valuation is ... surreal. but stock valuations are a collective surreality, i guess, and there are apparently enough insane people to indefinitely sustain the company's absurd PE ratio

@DKThomp All stock valuations are a discount to future earnings. Tesla (robots) and SpaceX (space) have crazy high future earnings potential

The company that controls space is gonna be insanely valuable as the space industry grows in the coming years

@mantwig93 @DKThomp and what people think those future earnings will be depends on the stories they are told (Elon is good at stories to retail) and how rigorously you ground those stories (retail is not good at this).
