@NathanpmYoung @iz_dmr Nathan if you knew these were pladontkillus fellows then your top post seems actively misleading, these are not randos but ai safety professionals, in the sense of receiving money and resources from ai safety non profits to do ai safety work (here raising awareness)
@TheVatStack I don't like your sign. I don't like trying to make up new slurs, nor the implication that either genocide is funny or that it's something to seriously discuss in this case.
@NathanpmYoung I prefer it to the total human omnicide that many accelerationists espouse but I would like a middle ground.
@NathanpmYoung That's a sign that protests are a bad way of enacting change

@ValsTutor @iz_dmr I guess it's a bit of evidence of that?
I don't like this sign, but as someone who went to this protest, I think I'm gonna draw the line at judging randoms on their signs. Happy to judge activist orgs on who they hire. But a functional protest is gonna involve randoms with signs. Big tents are fine for a protest. https://twitter.com/iz_dmr/status/2076165709328244809
Maybe this is reason to criticise plzdontkillus (a fellow of whom did make the sign, but not those pictured). But like a little update, not a big one. https://x.com/ValsTutor/status/2076769432836215054?s=20
