Paradigm Healthcare data breach affects more than 970,000 Medi-Cal members

SecurityWeek reports Paradigm Healthcare Services told HHS that a breach affected more than 970,000 people. Paradigm says it detected unauthorized network access in October 2025 and determined in August 2026 that files containing protected health information may have been accessed. Its notification letters were dated September 14, 2026. The company says its Student Health Network billing platform was unaffected and it has no evidence of fraud or identity theft stemming from the incident.
