Drax, Brookfield and Radiant plan AI data center at North Yorkshire power station

Drax has teamed up with Brookfield and Radiant on a proposed data center at its North Yorkshire biomass power station. The companies aim to deliver up to 100MW by early 2028, with a potential expansion beyond 1GW. The £20 billion figure is an ambition, not funding already committed. The first phase still needs a customer, approvals, commercial agreements and final investment decisions.
