@theo Cloud agents are pretty useful, love using @DevinAI

@theo if the tooling gets better yeah otherwise i dont see it

@RhysSullivan It will necessarily get better

@theo Anyone still not running on at least a cheap little Linux PC is in the stone age. It's so much better not having to rely on UI or updates. CLI harness in tmux and you can do anything and everything, remotely of your phone or laptop.

I agree. I don't personally believe that the future of AI work ( coidng specifically ) in general will happen locally. We'll move from agents run tasks to agents run goals and missions, for days. Makes sense with recent acquisition of ona by OpenAI, and recent product launch at Anthropic. I still believe though that personal Agents will run completely locally ( smartphone & laptop). We can see it in the last Nvidia launch of CPU/GPU with unified mem and partnership with Microsoft about the future of personal computers. As well as from the Apple side, and OpenClaw (like) acquisition from OpenAi.

@theo move to?

@theo iOS dev in shamble

@theo mines mostly on a mac studio that i'm sshd into (or discord threads) for while now

@theo i can viscerally feel this getting close

@rsms @theo cloud

@theo i guess i could see it, but i need a far better way to - track changes - sync between devices - handle networking between remote & local before i can do this, ive really been thinking of building something for this but im so busy with so much other stuff that i cant

@raphaelschaad @theo That makes no sense. What does that even mean to move my agents away from my computer? How can it possibly control my computer if it’s running elsewhere? Plus, models are going the opposite directions; local models catching up to frontier hosted ones.

@borkiss727 @theo Some form of a VPS. A good number of people do that now.

@borkiss727 @theo @MistralAI models on @antigravity 😂

@theo Coding from my bed with meta AI glasses soon?

@theo Maybe for web apps. Hard to say that’ll be true for something that runs native code on Mac or windows.

@theo Not sure what is the incentive for that ? the only motivation that i can see is using different type of devices like phones etc. But still for professional work laptops still will be the main work station

@theo What does this mean? Please explain to me in detail. @grok
