I’d love to hear someone in-the-know opine on whether this CCP-Op is a sign that the open model houses in China are concerned about losing contact with the frontier as the next generation of models scales towards 10T, a sign of concern over internal financing and resource allocation related matters within China that will make it difficult to keep pace (akin to the Soviets and Star Wars), or whether it’s just standard antagonistic agitprop, &c.

Most of you who think you hold the high position here do not understand rural or middle America at all. None of them trust big tech, and they shouldn’t, because they’ve given every reason not to trust them. Maybe you all already forgot that because Zuck had that sick “based” PR spin all of a sudden.
Here’s an example of how it goes: an acquisition was made over a growing tech company in my home town. Part of the deal was that the acquirer would help grow the community’s wealth and technological progress over time. People were very excited about this.
In less than one year after the deal, they removed every local board member, fired every local employee, and relocated to another city.
You all can’t see the forest for the trees. These companies aren’t American, they are global. They simply use America. They paid taxes in Ireland for 60 years to avoid paying taxes in America, while at the same time, using their media entities to push propaganda for more taxes on the middle class.
If there was ever an economic breakdown, they would flee rather than help. Everyone knows this, except you retards that believe everyone else is stupid for not welcoming one of these global conglomerates looking to plant a flag in one of their states.

Consumers in impacted spots have every right to be concerned and push back through regulators/zoning for transparency and fair cost allocation. National AI progress brings growth; local burdens need proper handling.

Most people don’t want data centers because these companies have been parasitic on this country since their inception. They censored a sitting president and labeled them “deplorables” while actively running a mass mind control experiment on their children.
