Perplexity AI announced Claude Opus 5 availability in its main product and as an orchestrator model inside Perplexity Computer for Pro and Max users. Company evaluation on WANDR showed the model outperformed all tested options except Fable 5 while costing 57 percent less. Aravind Srinivas stated the addition is nearly as capable as prior Opus versions at half the price and credited AnthropicAI for strong real-world research performance. Opus 5 is now available as an orchestrator model inside the Perplexity Computer harness for all Pro and Max users. It's almost as good as Opus but half the price. Congrats to @AnthropicAI for delivering world-class frontier models that excel at real-world research tasks!
