I fear I might be using Cunningham's Law on poor Fable, making it roll up its sleeves and give me a proper derivation of my argument rather than my sloppy handwave. Hehehe... "obvious" cuts both ways.
It is also enjoyable when Fable is in its pushy mode, pointing out when I miss the "totally obvious" big literature on a topic from the 70s... and then suggesting how to turn it into a useful "this research looks like X, but has the fundamental difference Y" in the intro.
