TLDR
Technics has unveiled the EAH-A1000 as the next generation of its flagship over-ear adaptive noise-cancelling headphones. Engadget reports the new model is Technics’ first over-ear design to use 40mm magnetic-fluid drivers, which are intended to reduce vibration and distortion, alongside an SST edge design borrowed from some of the company’s speakers. Engadget also reports ANC is handled by three feed-forward microphones and one feedback microphone per side, with support for LDAC, lossless listening over USB Audio and multipoint pairing with up to three devices. Battery life is listed at up to 45 hours of continuous playback, though Engadget notes Technics did not specify ANC conditions. Price and availability have not yet been shared.
